To provide a new beta domain-like polypeptide of protein G protein, having properties of binding with a human IgG-Fab fragment antibody, to provide the human IgG-Fab fragment antibody using the polypeptide as an adsorbent, and to provide a new industrially utilizable method for separating and purifying the IgG-Fab fragment antibody derivative in high purity.
The polypeptide is acquired by designing and devising the polypeptide having abilities binding with a human IgG-Fab fragment antibody and an IgG-Fab fragment antibody derivative. The material for adsorbing the human IgG-Fab fragment antibody or the IgG-Fab fragment antibody derivative is obtained by immobilizing the polypeptide on a water-insoluble carrier. The method for separating and purifying the human IgG-Fab fragment antibody or the IgG-Fab fragment antibody derivative is also provided. The method for producing the polypeptide uses a gene recombinant cell.
