Title:
IGNITOR FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3900053
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect combustion pressure by preventing or suppressing the superimposition of ignition noise on a combustion pressure signal.
SOLUTION: This ignitor for an internal combustion engine comprises a spark plug P having a signal takeout electrode 93 for taking out a signal from a combustion pressure sensor 60 detecting the combustion pressure of the internal combustion engine which is installed on the outer periphery of an insulator 20 incorporating an electrode 30 at the center thereof and a cap member having a signal output electrode to conduct with the signal takeout electrode 93 when installed in the insulator 20. A shield member 70 insulated from the signal takeout electrode 93 and shielding the ignition noise of the spark plug P is installed between the signal takeout electrode 93 and the insulator 20.
