Title:
ILLUMINANCE CONTROL DEVICE FOR INCANDESCENT LAMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06318494
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce rush current at power source input and during intermittent control by igniting a TRIAC at a zero cross point.

CONSTITUTION: This device has a circuit structure in which zero crosses are built in photo couplers 3A, 3B, and the photo TRIAC in the coupler 3B is connected to a diode D in series and to the photo TRIAC in the coupler 3A in parallel. The TRIAC 2 is never immediately ignited by the coupler 3B at the time of inputting an AC power source AC and during control, and ignited in the following zero cross point, and the continued state is kept by the coupler 3A thereafter to continue the lighting of an incandescent lamp 1. Thus, a low voltage is applied to the incandescent lamp at power source input and during intermittent control, and the rush current can be reduced.
