Abstract:

To provide a burying illuminant for light-emitting and displaying various shapes such as a character, a figure or the like and being capable of ensuring high visibility by laying it on the road surface, a parking space or the like and the wall surfaces of other buildings and its usage.

The burying illuminant is composed of a long-sized illuminant 18, in which a large number of light-emitting sources 16 disposed at required intervals in a light-transmitting tube 14 in required length having flexibility is inserted and which is extended in the longitudinal direction, burying illuminant member 12, which is laid on the road or the like and functions as a part of the road surface or the like and to which a groove section 20 permitting the burying of the long-sized illuminant 18 is recessed in a required shape, and a control means 22 electrically controlling the lighting and putting-out of a large number of the light-emitting sources 16 and the flashing operation of other various patterns. The illuminant is constituted in such a manner that the surface of the illuminant 18 is exposed to the outside by burying the long- sized illuminant in the groove section 20 18 while the light-emitting sources 16 are controlled electrically by the control means 22.
