PURPOSE: To provide an illuminating light source device wherein a luminous change and light shield can be synchronously controlled and a condition in a side of a light source part is confirmed, can be monitored even in a lighting system using a plurality of light sources.
CONSTITUTION: In an illuminating light source device, the device comprises a quantity N of light source parts 1 containing a light source with light incident in one end of an optical fiber and light outgoing from the other end and/or side surface and a control part 2 controlling these light source parts 1. Each light source part 1 comprises a rotatable color filter inserted between an incident end of the optical fiber and the light source, light shield plate, optical sensor for detecting rotational position of these color filter and light shield plate, temperature sensor detecting whether a temperature in the light source part increased to an upper limit value or not and an extinguishing detector detecting the light source extinguished.
