Abstract:
To provide an illumination optical device and an endoscope capable of suppressing temperature rise on a tip part of the endoscope.SOLUTION: A tip part 16a of an endoscope 11 comprises an illumination optical device 20 attached thereto. The illumination optical device 20 is formed by storing, on an inner periphery of a body tube 43, from a rear end side to a tip side, an optical rod 40, a first lens 41, an interval ring 44, and a second lens 42 in this order. The body tube 43 is formed of a metal, an inner periphery of the body tube 43 is subjected to polishing processing and enhanced in reflection degree. By enhancing the reflection degree of the inner periphery of the body tube 43 on the contrary to prior arts, a temperature rise can be suppressed. In addition, a design is made with a premise in which there is reflectance from prior arts, so that, even when the reflection degree is enhanced, a significant design change is not required.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
