To eliminate necessity for screw fixing to an illumination fixture, and improve working efficiency of mounting, in an illumination unit for exchange mounted on the illumination fixture.
The illumination fixture 2 is equipped with a cabinet 20 having an opening, and a cabinet side socket board 26 having a hole part 25 in order to mount a cabinet side socket 24 for lamp mounting. An illumination unit 1 for exchange includes: a unit side reflecting plate 11; a unit side ballast 13; a unit side socket 14 for lamp mounting; and a unit side mounting part 15 in order to mount the illumination unit 1 for exchange on the cabinet 20. This illumination unit 1 for exchange is mounted on the illumination fixture 2 by engaging the unit side mounting part 15 to the hole part 25 of the cabinet side socket 26. By this, the screw fixing of the illumination unit 1 for exchange to the illumination fixture 2 becomes unnecessary.
