Title:
ILS LOCALIZER RECEIVING DEVICE AND AIRCRAFT STOP POSITION INSTRUCTING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2639367
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce human-initiated mistakes using safely supplied radio wave without adding new equipment by radiating radio wave onto the extension line of the runway center, and numerically displaying the modulation depth difference of two different frequency on the left and right sides of the extension line, on the panel of a pilot seat.
CONSTITUTION: VHF radio wave radiated onto the extension line of the runway center and AM-modulated through a localizer antenna 10 at two different frequency on the left and right sides of the extension line is received by a VHF receiving circuit 11. The received radio wave is demodulated by an AM- demodulating circuit 12, and this signal is separated into 90Hz and 150Hz by a 90Hz filter 13 and a 150Hz filter 14. Upon receiving this output, an arithmetic circuit 15 computes the modulation depth difference, and the computed value is displayed on a numerical display 16 provided at the panel of a pilot seat. A stop position can thereby be instructed positively even in bad weather, and human-initiated mistakes caused by the oversight, misperception, or the like of display can be reduced.
