To provide an image adjusting apparatus capable of improving reliability or workability of inspection of a surface processed film or a fluorescent face of a cathode-ray tube.
Image detecting means 21 is opposed to a face surface 11a of a cathode-ray tube 11, image adjusting means 32 is mounted to a neck part 11b. With a specified image being visualized at a cathode-ray tube 11, convergence and purity are inspected. Convergence and purity are adjusted by the image adjusting means 32 so as to be a desired image based on the inspection result, and with mechanical and electrical conditions of the image adjusting means 32 being held, the image detecting means 21 is made distant from the face surface 11a. With a screen of the cathode-ray tube 11 being in a state that can be inspected, a specified image is visualized, with this state being held the image detecting means is made distant from the face surface, entering a state that can be inspected, therefore, subsequent inspection of the surface processed film 12 can be easily and precisely performed.
