Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent, during cleaning of a surface of a photoreceptor with a cleaning device, some toner, etc., from sticking to a part that has an effect on electrifying performance of an electrifying roller.
SOLUTION: Both ends Wc1 and Wc2 of a cleaning effective width Wc of a cleaning blade 47, which cleans the surface of a photoreceptor drum 5, are disposed outside corresponding parts where projecting members 18 of both ends of the electrifying roller are in contact with the surface of the photoreceptor drum 5. Thus, even in case toner leaks occur at the ends Wc1 and Wc2 of the cleaning effective width Wc, the toner does not stick to a part corresponding to an area between the projecting members 18 of the ends of the electrifying roller 14.
