Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a sender side terminal which acts as an Internet facsimile terminal to surely acquire capability information of a destination terminal to exchange capability information of a G3 facsimile device.
SOLUTION: An image communication device 11A inquires to a server 13A about the capability of a destination device 14B, and when the server 13A has no capability information on the destination device 14B, the image communication unit 11A inquires of a DNS server 14A about it to acquire the capability information. Then the device 11A transmits an image to the destination device 14B via the Internet with a communication method, in matching with the capability of the destination device 14B.
