Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the operability at the retrieval time by a user by automatically setting the weight of the featured value of a key image.
SOLUTION: A weight calculating part V41b calculates weights Wc and Wt for plural featured amounts from a feature amount A2 of a key image. On the other hand, a similarity calculating part V42 calculates similarity Rc and Rt for the plural feature amount from the feature amount A2 of the key image and a featured amount A3 of an image to be retrieved. An integral similarity calculating part V43 calculates integral similarity Ra from the weights Wc and Wt and the similarity Rc and Rt. A comparing part V44 judges the magnitude of the integral similarity Ra by using a threshold TH as a reference, and decides whether or not an image to be retrieved is similar to the key image from the result.
