An image correction device 10 which converts gradation values of the input image is provided with; a scanning processing part 14 which weights the gradation value of each of pixels constituting the input image in accordance with the distance from a prescribed position of the input image to calculate a weighted gradation value and calculates the characteristic value of the frequency distribution of weighted gradation values; a correction parameter acquisition part 16 which sets a noticed gradation value on the basis of the characteristic value and sets a noticed gradient value on the basis of a gradient between an input gradation value and an output gradation value in the noticed gradation value and acquires the noticed gradation value and the noticed gradient value as correction parameters; and a correction processing part 17 which converts gradation values of the input image on the basis of correction parameters of the set noticed gradation value and noticed gradient value.
