Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform compression-encoding while adaptively changing conversion block size.SOLUTION: The image decoder decodes a moving image from a bit stream which is generated by dividing the moving image into plural blocks and encoding in a compressed manner. The image decoder has a decoding section that decodes a piece of identification information for identifying a binarization table from plural binarization table with respect to a piece of encoding mode information for allotting a sub-block for inter-predicting to the blocks and a binarization table for allotting a binary character string to the encoding mode information. The decoding section acquires a piece of encoding mode information, which has been subjected to a variable length decoding on the basis of the identification information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
