Abstract:
PURPOSE: To achieve image density control by which output density is always controlled to an ideal value by clarifying qualitative knowledge of a digitized electrophotographic process, and constituting a control rule according to that knowledge.
CONSTITUTION: An input computation means 142a selects the qualitative model of a low-to-medium density control means 130a and causes low and medium density to agree with values of an error output means 128. Thereafter, a high density control means 132a is selected so that high density is in agreement with a desired value. After the limit of inputs is avoided by a limit avoiding means 144, an input is applied to an electrophotographic process 100.
