Abstract:
To facilitate user authentication when an image transmitted from a PC or the like is displayed on an image display device of an eye-glasses type or head mount type.
When a sensor 111 detects the image display apparatus 101 mounted on the head of a user Y, a CCD image sensor 105 photographs the image of the right eye of the user Y and transmits it to a PC connected to the image display apparatus 101. Using the image of the right eye of the user Y, the PC performs iris authentication for the user Y. On condition that the iris has been authenticated, image data to be displayed on an LCD 104 is transmitted to the image display device 101.
