CONSTITUTION: The controller is provided with a latch circuit 2 latching identification data of a 1st character string outputted in response to vertical position data, a latch circuit 7 latching identification data of a 2nd character string, a selector 8 selecting alternatively latch data of the latch circuits 2, 7, a RAM address pointer 16 generating the address of a display RAM 3 based on the selected identification data, and a duplicate display start/end command code storage section 3a storing start/end of duplicate display command code.
