Abstract:
To provide an image display device which suppresses the decrease in luminance of display and double reflection without depending on an angle between an absorption axis of a polarizer and a slow axis of a molded body of a plastic resin.SOLUTION: Disclosed is an image display device 100 which includes: a display 12; and a polarizing plate 18 arranged between the display 12 and a projection part 20. The polarizing plate 18 has a polarizer 34, and at least one of a first support plate 30 and a second support plate 38 for supporting the polarizer 34, and the phase difference between the first support plate 30 and the second support plate 38 is n (n is an integer) times of a wavelength of light outputted from the display 12 ±15%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
