Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of relatively easily displaying an image such that the image is viewable from a viewer at a desired viewing position (e.g., viewing position with good visibility).SOLUTION: An image display device (1) includes: emission means (11) for emitting a laser beam (LB); diffusion means (15) comprising a plurality of optical elements (152) which are regularly arrayed along a scanning surface (153) scanned with the laser beam emitted by the emission means and are configured to diffuse the laser beam; and adjustment means (14, 183) which adjusts a position at which a light spot (LS) is formed by the laser beam on the scanning surface for each of the plurality of optical elements such that the laser beam is diffused toward desired diffusion directions by each of the plurality of optical elements.
