Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the process for production by segmenting a reduced pressure space part disposed with an energy beam generating source or electrodes and a reduced pressure space part provided with a getter.
CONSTITUTION: A substrate 1 and a lower plate 2 which is a back plate constitute a hermetic container so that a high vacuum is maintained therein. Plural pieces of display parts consisting of anode patterns 4, grids 5, filaments 6, etc., and the getter 7 are arranged on the substrate 1 and thereafter, low melting glass is previously applied on the mounting parts and the substrate is fixed by jigs, etc., and is put into an electric furnace. The electric furnace is heated up to the sealing heat treatment temp. of the low melting glass. The temp. of the furnace is thereafter slowly returned to room temp. and the hermetic container is taken out of the electric furnace. A discharge pipe 9 is previously sealed to the lower plate 2 through the side wall of the lower plate 2. At this time, the discharge pipe 9 is so mounted as to segment the part arranged with the electrodes, etc., and the part arranged with the getter 7.
