Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of reliably performing addressing at high speed.SOLUTION: The image display device including a data electrode 60 provided for each of a plurality of subpixels and a scan electrode extending in a row direction and provided to overlap with the data electrode in top face view includes: a waveguide 20 having the width of the plurality of data electrodes and extending in a column direction; a color filter array 30 in which a plurality of kinds of color filters 31 different in transmission wavelength are two-dimensionally arranged according to the width of the waveguide and which is provided on the waveguide; a light source part selectively emitting light having a wavelength transmitting the plurality of kinds of color filters and making the light incident on the waveguide; a transparent electrode 40 provided on the color filter array; and a photoconductive film 50 which is provided between the transparent electrode and the data electrode and whose resistance value is reduced when the light is made incident, to apply voltage applied to the transparent electrode to the data electrode.
