Abstract:
To provide an image display unit capable of preventing generation of a creep and of maintaining proper image display.
A vacuum envelop 10 of this image display is equipped with a back substrate 12 and a front substrate 11 disposed to face to each other, and a sidewall 18 provided between the back substrate and the front substrate. The front substrate and the sidewall are sealed through an indium film. A substrate support member 30 for regulating relative displacement between the front substrate and the back substrate is provided, in such a manner that it contacts the lower ends of the back substrate, the front substrate and the sidewall.
