PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily extract a specific object body with high precision in environment wherein external light varies by judging the lightness state of the environment where the object body is placed from the detection output of a detecting means and determining whether or not an image of a difference component obtained by a photodetecting means is adopted.
SOLUTION: A reflected light image acquiring means 102 obtains an image of the object body 106 lit by a light emitting means 101 and an image of the object body 106 irradiated with only external light without the lighting to obtain a reflected light image as the difference component between the both. At the image acquisition timing of the reflected light image acquiring means 102, an external light detecting means 203 detects the level in the environment (level of only external light) and its detection output is supplied to an external light state decision means 204. The external light state decision means 204 monitors the intensity, temporal variation, etc., of the external light on the basis of the detection output, and generates a non-permission signal when detecting a state wherein large influence is possibly exerted on the reflected light image and does not generate the non-permission signal in other states.
