Abstract:
To enable correction using a correction chart to be executed in such a state that the influence of flare is reduced.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises: an image formation unit which has a head provided with a plurality of nozzles and forms an image on a sheet conveyed in the first direction with ink droplets discharged by the nozzles; a reading unit which reads the image formed on the sheet; a generation unit which generates a correction chart including a plurality of patches indicating mutually-different densities arranged in the first direction and two marks arranged at different positions in the second direction orthogonal to the first direction; and a derivation unit which derives correction data on the basis of a reading result obtained by reading the correction chart formed on the sheet by the reading unit. The generation unit arranges both ends in the second direction of the plurality of patches on the outer side in the second direction with respect to each of the two marks. The derivation unit derives the correction data on the basis of the reading result of the plurality of patches existing on the inner side with respect to the two marks in the second direction among the reading results of the reading unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
