Abstract:
To prevent printing from being performed without formation of an image of an extended character even when a font image of the extended character is not registered.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises: an analysis processing unit Pr1 which analyzes printing data and extracts a character code of each character constituting the printing data; a font image management processing unit Pr3 which reads a font image corresponding to the character code of an extended character from a storage device 54 when the character code extracted by the analysis processing unit Pr1 is a character code of the extended character; and a printing image data generation processing unit Pr5 which generates printing image data and performs printing based on the font image of the extended character when the font image is different from the font image of the extended character in the initial state and does not generate the printing image data when the font image is the same as the font image of the extended character in the initial state. The apparatus can prevent printing from being performed without formation of an image of an extended character.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
