Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can easily determine the boundary between a medium support member and a medium by preventing the difference in the sensor output between the medium support member and the medium from becoming small, and correctly determine the position of the medium on the medium support member.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus includes: a surface state detection unit which detects the state of the surface of a medium support member; a rotation position detection unit which detects the rotation position of the medium support member; a storage device which stores sensor output information of the surface state detection unit and each rotation position in association with each other; a line-feed control unit which makes a portion at the rotation position corresponding to the prescribed sensor output information of each sensor output information face the surface state detection unit; and a boundary determination unit which determines the boundary between the medium support member and the medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
