Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can deal with multi-colorization or addition of a specific color by suppressing the scale of hardware.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus can array five image formation units 12 along an intermediate transfer belt and includes only four writing control units 35 outputting drive signals corresponding to image data to the image formation units 12. An image processing unit 33 reads image data of each color from an inter-drum delay control memory 34 in the order (for example, the order of YMCKS) corresponding to the arrangement of the image formation units 12 of the respective colors and the time difference, outputs the image data of Y and S to the writing control unit of the ch1, the image data of M to the writing control unit 35 of the ch2, the image data of C to the ch3, and the image data of K to the ch4. An output selection unit 36 outputs the drive signals input from the writing control units 35 of the ch2-ch4 to the image formation units 12 of the corresponding colors as they are, and switches the output destination to the image formation unit 12 of the Y color in a period in which the drive signal from the ch1 is the Y color and the image formation unit of the S color in a period of the S color.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
