Job management information stored in a volatile memory is duplicated and stored as a backup in a nonvolatile storage medium at the end of a job or every time a predetermined time passes. At the time of the restart, the job management information duplicated and stored in the nonvolatile storage medium is read out and stored in the volatile memory, whereby the job management information before the restart is restored. Outputting is resumed on the basis of the restored job management information.
