Abstract:
To discharge a sheet smoothly even with a large number of loading sheets.SOLUTION: A loading part (170) of a sheet discharge device has: a stationary member (20) forming a first loading surface inclined upwardly in a vertical direction to the downstream in a sheet discharge direction; and a movable member (21) forming a second loading surface and rotatable with respect to the stationary member. The movable member is situated at a first position where at least a part of the second loading surface projects upwardly in the vertical direction than the first loading surface when sheets are not loaded at the loading part, and rotates toward a second position downward than the first position according to the increase of the number of sheets loaded on the loading part. A rotation supporting point (P) of the movable member is provided upstream than an intermediate position (U) of an upstream end (W) and a downstream end (X) of the loading part in the sheet discharge direction and a distance in the sheet discharge direction from the rotation supporting point of the movable member to the upstream end of the loading part is smaller than a distance in the sheet discharge direction from the rotation supporting point of the movable member to the intermediate position of the loading part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
