Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that can appropriately address the degree of deterioration of a drum cartridge and cause a cleaning roller to perform a cleaning operation at a more appropriate frequency, a drum cartridge, and a method for controlling an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus (1) is provided with: a controller (101); and drum cartridges (51) each including a photoreceptor drum, a cleaning roller, and a drum memory (51M) that can store at least either one of drum deterioration information representing the state of deterioration of the photoreceptor drum or roller deterioration information representing the state of deterioration of the cleaning roller. The controller (101) executes determination processing of determining the frequency of the cleaning operation for the photoreceptor drum executed by the cleaning roller based on the drum deterioration information or the roller deterioration information stored in the drum memory (51M).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
