Abstract:
To easily grasp the relationship between page numbers of a plurality of images and page positions of the images in a lengthwise direction of long-sized paper, even when image formation is skipped due to the occurrence of an error while the images are formed on the long-sized paper.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an error detection unit that detects the occurrence of an error interrupting image formation; a page counting unit that counts pages of images to be formed on long-sized paper in accordance with a conveyance distance of the long-sized paper conveyed by a conveying unit; and a control unit that forms, at positions of the pages counted by the page counting unit in a lengthwise direction of the long-sized paper, images of page numbers corresponding to the pages, and when the occurrence of an error is detected while a plurality of images are formed on the long-sized paper, performs control of skipping image formation on the page where the error occurs, while causing the page counting unit to continue counting the pages.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
