Abstract:
To solve the problem in which: when an image to be normally printed is included in printed sheets while index print is executed, index print does not need to be executed thereafter; in such a case, if the index print is cancelled at that time, unnecessary printing can be reduced to a certain degree; however, from an instruction to cancel the index print until the stoppage of the index print, unnecessary index is printed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus acquires information on a plurality of pieces of image data stored in a storage area of an external storage medium, and prints information on a list of the plurality of pieces of image data based on the acquired information on the plurality of pieces of image data. In the printing of the list information, the image forming apparatus allows a user to select whether to print all the index or interrupt the printing every time a predetermined number of sheets are printed and allow the user to check whether to continue the printing, and controls the printing of the information on the list of the plurality of pieces of image data according to the selection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
