PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, an image forming method, and a program capable of stapling sheets at an appropriate position when the sheets are bound together.SOLUTION: In division printing, at least one of two sheets to be bound together has a staple mark formed on a surface on an opposite side to an image forming surface having a division image related to division image data formed thereon, according to the position of a border between a binding part and an image forming area having the image related to the division image data formed thereon.
