Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus comprising an electrophotographic photoreceptor that can prevent the occurrence of stress cracks and obtain stable image characteristics for a long period.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises at least an electrophotographic photoreceptor, electrifying means, exposure means, developing means, and transfer means. The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes at least a laminated photosensitive layer on a conductive support. A charge transport layer contains at least a charge transport material, binder resin, and silica particles. The silica particles are contained in the charge transport layer at a ratio of 7-25 mass%. The charge transport layer has a surface layer having a ten-point surface roughness Rz of 0.08-1.2 μm, and a surface layer having a creep value C of 3.8-5.0% which is measured by applying a maximum indentation load of 30 mN for five seconds by using a Vickers square weight diamond indenter with an opposite angle of 136° in an environment of a temperature of 25°C and a relative humidity of 50%. A toner is externally added with two or more types of external additives including fatty acid metal salt particles as an external additive.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
