Abstract:

To provide an electrostatic charging member which forms no ghost image while maintaining high sensitivity as a superior electrophotographic characteristic, a process cartridge which has the electrostatic charging member, and an image forming apparatus.

A photoreceptor has a conductive base and a photosensitive layer containing a phthalocyanine compound and formed on the conductive base. As the electrostatic charging member, a roller type electrostatic charging member is used which consists of a conductive base and a coating layer formed on the conductive base and having at least conductivity and elasticity and which has ≤90° microhardness to constitute the image forming apparatus.
