Only a carrier C is housed in a developing section 23 of a new process cartridge 20 so that a plurality of process cartridges corresponding to toners T of a plurality of colors are made common. Toners T in a plurality of colors are supplied from a toner supply section 32 to the developing section 23 after the new process cartridge 20 is installed in an installing section of the apparatus main body.
