Abstract:
To provide a technology to prevent an ASIC activated by a counter electromotive force from accessing a memory, while reducing the loss of power supplied to a brushless motor.SOLUTION: An MFP 100 comprises: a polygon motor 62 that includes coils 621U, 621V, 621W; a motor driving unit 74 that controls power supplied to the coils of the polygon motor 62; a flash ROM 32; a controller 30 that accesses the flash ROM 32; and a power supply unit 50. The power supply unit 50 is electrically connected to both the motor driving unit 74 and the controller 30. The MFP 100 acquires a voltage related to one of the coils of the polygon motor 62, and when the period of voltage based on the voltage is longer than a first threshold that is equal to or more than a switching period of the motor driving unit 74, disables reading and writing to the flash ROM 32 performed by the controller 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
