Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents wear of a photoreceptor.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a photoreceptor that includes an inorganic surface layer containing the group 13 element and oxygen in this order; an electrifying device; an electrostatic charge image forming device; a developing device that stores an electrostatic charge image developer having a toner including toner particles and an external additive, and supplies the electrostatic charge image developer to develop an electrostatic charge image formed on a surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor as a toner image; a transfer device; a cleaning device that brings a cleaning blade into contact with and cleans the surface of the photoreceptor; and a supply mechanism that supplies lubricant to a contact position of the cleaning blade and the photoreceptor in the cleaning device. Of stagnant material stagnating at the contact position of the photoreceptor and the cleaning blade, the composition ratio of lubricant in stagnant material stagnating at a leading end on the upstream side in the direction of rotation of the electrophotographic photoreceptor is 20 mass% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
