To obtain an image forming apparatus enabling a user to adjust a color tone of an output image so as to meet the user's liking.
The image forming apparatus is equipped with a recording section B where a latent image is formed by exposing a thermosensitive recording material 13, a heat developing section C where heat development is performed by heating the thermosensitive recording material 13, and a cooling section D where the thermosensitive recording material 13 after the heat development is cooled, also the image forming apparatus is equipped with a control section E capable of adjusting the color tone of the output image formed in the thermosensitive recording material 13. The control section E preferably has a temperature controller to control the heating temperatures of the heaters 55, 57, 59 in the heat developing section C based on the information inputted from an input operating section 79.
