The image forming apparatus is provided with: a first temperature sensor detecting the temperature of the central portion in the axial direction of the heat roller; and a second temperature sensor detecting the temperature of the end portion in the axial direction of the heat roller. When the temperature of the central portion in the axial direction of the heat roller when an image forming instruction with respect to the first recording paper is received is higher than a prescribed value, the paper feeding timing of the first recording paper P is controlled on the basis of the temperature detected by the first temperature sensor. On the other hand, when the temperature of the central portion in the axial direction of the heat roller is lower than the prescribed value, the paper feeding timing of the first recording paper is controlled based on the temperature detected by the second temperature sensor.
