Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus for easily suppressing unauthorized access from an external device, and its control method.
The image forming apparatus includes a main substrate and a sub substrate, executes a program for performing a predetermined procedure when using an external storage device to start, and switches whether to mutually allow access or to interrupt access from the sub substrate to the main substrate and to allow only access from the main substrate to the sub substrate according to this result.
