An image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of developing apparatuses; a toner housing body including a rotating body for supplying toner toward the developing apparatus and provided for each developing device; a brush motor; a gear for transmitting drive of the brush motor; a drive part including a rotating plate including information that periodically changes rotation speed of the brush motor and provided for each toner housing body; a sensor part which outputs a control signal indicating ON/OFF of power supply to the brush motor upon reading the information on the rotating plate that rotates, and is provided for each drive part; and a motor control part which turns ON/OFF power supply to each brush motor on the basis of the control signal from the sensor part.
