Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an apparatus from becoming large-sized when both face-down paper discharge and face-up paper discharge can be performed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a paper discharge roller 41 and a spur roller 42 for delivering a printing medium 2 where an image is formed; a paper discharge tray 53 housing the printing medium 2 delivered by the paper discharge roller 41; and an inversion path 51 which inverts the printing medium 2 delivered by the paper discharge roller 41. The inversion path 51 has a straight path 61 and a curved path 62. Below the straight path 61, the paper discharge tray 53 is arranged. A path member 71 configuring at least a part of the straight path 61 is arranged displaceably between a first position where the printing medium 2 is guided to the curved path 62 and a second position where the printing medium 2 delivered by the paper discharge roller 41 can be ejected to the paper discharge tray 53 without being in contact with the printing medium 2, evacuated from the position where the straight route 61 is formed.
