Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that is able to effectively retreat a plurality of print job data stored in a volatile memory, into an empty area of a nonvolatile memory.SOLUTION: A storage processing unit 155 stores print job data, specified to be stored, into a RAM 153 as storage target data. A detection processing unit 156 detects stop of power supply from a commercial AC power source 50. In a case where stop of power supply from the commercial AC power source 50 is detected by the detection processing unit 156, a selection processing unit 157 selects retreat target data to be retreated into a ROM 152, from among the storage target data stored in the RAM 153, according to a predetermined selection rule. A retreat processing unit 158 retreats the retreat target data into the ROM 152.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
