Abstract:
To reduce unevenness in density of an image caused by uneven spread of developer.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises a developing device 40 that develops, in a developing area D, an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor drum 10 with a developer supplied from a developer carrier. A developer container 41 has a stirring unit 43, a developer supply unit 42 that supplies a developer supplied from the stirring unit 43 to the developer carrier, and a stirring member 44 that stirs the developer in the stirring unit 43 and developer supply unit 42 and conveys and circulates the developer in the stirring unit 43 and developer supply unit 42. The stirring member 44 conveys the developer in the developer supply unit 42 in one direction along an axial direction of the photoreceptor drum 10, and the sensitivity of a photoreceptor on a surface of the photoreceptor drum 10 is increased along a conveyance direction of the developer in the developer supply unit 42, and thereby unevenness in density of an image can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
