Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that can shorten a user's waiting time with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: When an image forming apparatus executes a job for continuously forming images on a plurality of recording materials, the image forming apparatus adds a unit addition amount set in advance in accordance with the attribute of the recording materials to an index related to the temperature of a heating member, in accordance with the attribute and the number of the recording materials on which image formation is performed, executes image formation with a first throughput for the recording materials up to a number at which the cumulative value of the index exceeds a threshold set in advance, and executes image formation with a second throughput lower than the first throughput for the recording materials at or subsequent to the number at which the cumulative value of the index exceeds the threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
