Abstract:

The image forming apparatus according to the present invention is an image forming apparatus capable of performing hold printing, the image forming apparatus performs preceding processing to perform in advance rendering for image data of a held print job before reception of printing instructions, saves a rendering image generated by the preceding processing in a storage apparatus, and determines whether or not it is possible to save a new rendering image in the storage apparatus before the preceding processing is performed, and whether or not to perform the preceding processing is determined in accordance with determination results.
