Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that prevents the occurrence of fogging and maintains cleaning performance by a cleaning member as well.SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises an image carrier 13, a developing device 11, and a cleaning member 27. The image carrier 13 includes a conductive base 311 having a rough surface 313 and a photosensitive layer 315 provided on the rough surface 313. On the surface 13s of the image carrier 13 are formed a projection P1 that corresponds to a projection formed on the rough surface 313 and a recess P2 that corresponds to a recess formed on the rough surface 313. The arithmetic average roughness Ra of surface 13s of the image carrier 13 is 40 nm to 65 nm inclusive. The image forming device further includes a developer. The toner included in the developer includes a plurality of toner particles. Each of the toner particles includes a plurality of resin particles as external additives. The blocking rate of the resin particles is 15 mass% to 40 mass% inclusive. The number average primary particle size of the resin particles is 50 nm to 70 nm inclusive.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
