Abstract:
To execute image analysis in a configuration in which image analysis processing is performed on image data before image formation in consideration of the processing even when mask processing on an image is executed, thereby allowing, for example, appropriate and resource-saving fixing temperature control.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus has execution means that executes mask processing by using a mask applied to an image, and printing means that prints the image on which the mask processing is executed by the execution means, and has determination means that, before the mask processing is executed by the execution means, determines an area of the image printed when the mask processing is executed, and decision means that decides the temperature of fixing when the image is printed by the printing means based on the area determined by the determination means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
