An original take-out detecting means 75 detecting the take-out of the original from the original placing part is provided, and the start of printing operation or the ejection operation of the recording medium is controlled based on the detected result of the original take-out detecting means. Thus, a printed image is not obtained unless a user takes out the original from the original placing part, so that the original is prevented from being left behind.
